Corcoran Cayman: A WordPress Platform Built to Search Fast and Update Itself

Corcoran Cayman sells and manages residential and commercial property across the Cayman Islands, from Seven Mile Beach condos to George Town commercial listings. Buyers need to search that inventory quickly and trust what they see; the agent team needs the inventory itself to stay current without touching it by hand. We built the platform around a live CIREBA feed rather than a static catalogue: AJAX-powered search and filtering, interactive property detail pages, and a technical layer engineered for a listing count that never stops changing.

HOW WE BUILT IT

A Structured Build Process Around a Live MLS Feed

The project ran across platform design, the CIREBA sync engine, search and filtering, and a technical-performance layer, all shaped by one constraint: the property data was never going to sit still. We agreed the data model and sync logic up front, then built outward from it in reviewable stages.

Buyers narrow thousands of Cayman Islands listings by district, property type, price range, square footage, bedrooms, bathrooms, and MLS number, with results returning through AJAX so the search never triggers a full page reload.

Automated CIREBA MLS Synchronization

A scheduled sync engine pulls the CIREBA LDX feed directly into WordPress, importing new listings, updating changed ones, and removing sold or delisted properties automatically, with duplicate detection running on every pass.

Property Detail Pages and High-Resolution Galleries

Every listing renders through a custom detail template: full-resolution photo galleries, bedroom and bathroom counts, square footage, year built, and the assigned agent, pulled straight from the synchronized MLS data.

Interactive Location Maps

Each property plots to an interactive map centered on its district, giving buyers immediate geographic context, from Seven Mile Beach to George Town to the East End, without leaving the listing page.

Built-In Mortgage Calculator

A mortgage calculator sits directly on every listing, letting a buyer adjust total amount, down payment, interest rate, and loan term to see a live estimated monthly payment before ever contacting an agent.

Agent Profiles and Direct Contact

Every agent has a profile with a call and email option surfaced on their listings, so a buyer’s question reaches the right person immediately instead of a general inbox.

Mobile-First Responsive Experience

Search, galleries, the mortgage calculator, and inquiry forms hold their layout and speed from phone to tablet to desktop, since most first-time property searches on the islands start on a phone.

Keeping Thousands of Listings Current Without Breaking Anything Else

This section is about the judgment calls behind the build, not the feature list. A live MLS feed touching thousands of listings raises problems a typical WordPress site never has to solve. Five shaped the work:

Syncing Without Duplicating

Listings arrive, change, and disappear from CIREBA continuously. The real work was a sync engine that recognizes the same property across repeated updates, so the same home never appears twice under two records.

Ranking Inventory That Never Sits Still

Most sites lock down a URL structure once. Here, properties are constantly added, sold, and removed, so the judgment call was an SEO structure that stays stable and indexable through continuous turnover.

Large Image Libraries Without a Slow Site

Every listing carries a full high-resolution gallery, and there are thousands of listings. The trade-off was handling that volume through the sync pipeline without letting page speed degrade.
